There are several health regulations in the UAE to obtaining a healthcare professional license, depending on the location of the facility and the emirate in which the professional needs to practice. Most healthcare professionals aim to obtain their licenses from the Department of Health (DOH) in Abu Dhabi and the western region, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in Dubai, and the Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) for the other emirates in the UAE.
The Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) are the same for all healthcare professionals across all regulatory bodies; however, some professions require additional requirements depending on the specialty and the regulatory authority.
